1994 C4 Corvette

• Several refinements that focused on safety and smoother operation were the order for 1994 Corvettes.
• A passenger-side airbag was added and all Corvettes now offered dual airbags.
• In addition, other interior changes included new carpeting, new door-trim panels, new seats, a new steering wheel, a redesigned instrument panel and a restyled console.
• Other new equipment included an optional rear-axle ratio, revised spring rates, a convertible backlight with heated glass and new exterior colors.
• The ZR-1 also received new non-directional wheels for 1994.
• The 5.7-liter V-8 powering the standard Corvettes now used sequential fuel injection, which provided a smoother idle, better drivability and lower emissions.
• That engine was mated to a refined 4L60-E electronic four-speed automatic overdrive transmission that provided a more consistent shift feel.
• A brake-transmission shift interlock safety feature was also new for 1994.
• The ZR-1 again used the LTS 5.7-liter V-8.
• It was fitted with a six-speed manual transmission, which was again a no-cost option for LT1-powered Corvette models.
• Corvettes came in Arctic White; Admiral Blue; Black; Bright Aqua Metallic; Polo Green Metallic; Competition Yellow; Copper Metallic; Torch Red; Black Rose Metallic; and Dark Red Metallic.
• Interiors came in Beige; Black; Light Beige; Light Gray; Red; and White.
• Standard features included a removable body-color roof panel for hatchbacks or a convertible top.
• All Corvette convertibles except those with Polo Green Metallic finish could be ordered with one of three top colors: Beige, Black, or White cloth.
• The White convertible top was not avail-able for Polo Green Metallic cars.
• Leather seats became standard upholstery.
